The story behind the painting...

Bismarck, one of the most famous battleships of the Second World War, as seen from the the decks of a Type VIIB U-boat. This U-boat proudly sports the "Bull of Scapa Flow" emblem on its conning tower showing that it is part of the 7th U-boat Flottilla.
