There were five super-dreadnought Queen Elizabeth-class battleships in the Royal Navy. Commissioned in 1915–16, they served in both world wars.
S-class submarines were constructed between 1930 - 1945. They became the largest single group of submarines ever built for the Royal Navy totalling 62 vessels.
