This
highly attractive pencil drawing would make a beautiful accompaniment to
the painting of H28 by the same artist. Alternatively it would also look great
just by itself, or hanging with other pencil drawings by John Pettitt
available from SubArt.net
Each
print shows the signature of
Captain MRG Wingfield DSO, DSC*, RN and Commander Edward
P
Young DSO, DSC, RNV(S)R. Please note that these signatures are
REPRODUCED from the original piece - each print is NOT individually
signed.
The boat's badge (in colour) is also illustrated on the print (not shown
in image).
Commissioned
in 1918 H28 saw the tail end of WW1. See then continued to serve
with the Royal Navy and survived to see the Second World War making her unique
in that she served in both world
wars. Despite her loyal commitment H28 was sold for scrap in 1944.
