The deep-sea lochs of the West coast of Scotland often witness our submarines quietly transiting through them. 

I don’t know how many times I’ve nearly swerved off the road when driving along their shores when
this stealthy black shape appears from nowhere. It’s not the submarine’s natural habitat but I’ve tried to capture this sleek, hi-tech beastie amongst the natural beauty of the surrounding hills.

Other Trafalgar Class Fleet submarines were Talent, Trafalgar, Torbay, Trenchant, Triumph and Turbulent.
