This is the business end of a Japanese I-Boat.
And under the circumstances .... you wouldn't want to be there !
It doesn't matter which man's Navy you're in -
this is never very nice.
Just imagine sitting in a locked garbage can, and have somebody (who
loathes you...) whack on it with a huge sledgehammer.....sometimes for
hours. He's not going to be happy until you are .... well, you know what I
mean.
This little painting is part of my grimmer,
darker side. Trying to illustrate that there is nothing pretty, glamorous
or attractive about
warfare.
Each of these guys has a mother.
Let's just allow the image to speak for itself,
and salute all those guys - whoever they served - who had to endure this
nonsense ... sometimes for
several years of their young lives ... and sometimes ....only
once..........
