Having served as the third in command of the USS
Parche, I painted my first submarine in acrylic on 18" x 24"
canvas depicting her homecoming from a mission.
She is pictured with the US Navy YTB tug
Manhattan in
remembrance of September 11th. Parche has a proud and well earned
reputation spanning thirty years. She is due to be decommissioned in
2004.
Her weapon shipping hatch is inscribed with
"through this
hatch pass the finest
submariners in the
world".
