at commissioning and now hangs in San Juan's wardroom.

commissioned on 6 August 1988 and is homported at Groton, CT.
San Juan participated
in "Iraqi Freedom".
The artist William H. RaVell III, Chief Warrant
Officer, U. S. Coast Guard (Ret). Mr. RaVell was a Senior Electrical
Planner at General Dynamics and was commissioned to paint portraits of
several 688 Class and Trident submarines and their namesake
vessels.
Unfortunately no prints have ever been made of this artwork.
